Earlier this week, SoundCloud introduced mobile profile editing in its iOS app, allowing creators to easily update their profile on the go.

Creators can now update their artist profile image, their head image, bio, location, and much more from the convenience of their iOS device. Previously, creators on iOS could only make changes to their profile on desktop.

“The profile is one of the primary tools SoundCloud creators use to showcase themselves and their sounds worldwide to collaborators, promoters, press, music managers, and to connect with their fans in real-time,” SoundCloud wrote in a press release.

According to SoundCloud, it is the only music streaming service that gives creators maximum control of their profile.  As of right now, there hasn’t been any details released regarding mobile profile editing for the Android app. It likely will be available sometime in the near future.

Over the last year, SoundCloud has made several efforts to launch new features and tools for creators including a monetization program and the ability to distribute music to all major streaming platforms . Spotify and Apple Music may get all of the headlines, but SoundCloud has continued to make improvements that put creators first, which has played a big role in its current success.
